Chuckles and Bleu exists to encourage Gen Alpha and Z to find their own voice through the creation of music. Music is a powerful art form that’s contagious and universal. Songs unite us through shared experiences, nostalgia and storytelling.
Nina Simone wrote songs that became battle cries for the civil rights movement. She used music instead of bombs and guns by telling stories that desperately needed to be told. She protesting acts of violence and oppression against Black communities in the segregated South with her lyrics alone.
Helen Reddy’s I AM WOMAN became an empowering anthem to the second-wave feminist movement. Dolly inspired equality in the workplace, Lennon and Yoko wrote about peace, Patti smith wrote about environmental sustainability and Neil Young protested war.

When my daughter took an interest in music several years ago, I followed her example and returned to an art form I loved as a child.
This is a passion project for my lady rocker, Chuckles, and my gentle boy, Bleu. Each design is sketched at my kitchen table with a baby on my lap, to the tunes my thirteen-year-old strums on her guitar.
